Right to object to data processing

Right to object to the processing of personal data (Art. 21 GDPR)

Conditions for the right to object:

1. In the case of processing personal data for the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest (Art. Section 6 1 p. (Article 1 lit. e GDPR) or to protect legitimate interests (Art. Section 6 1 p. (Article 1 lit. f GDPR)You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you, with effect for the future.

2. You have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of direct marketing; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing.

Exercising the right to object:

You must inform us of your decision to exercise your right to object by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail).

If you exercise your right to object based on the processing of personal data for the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest (Art. Section 6 1 p. (Article 1 lit. e GDPR) or to protect legitimate interests (Art. Section 6 1 p. (Article 1 lit. f GDPR)If you wish to assert your rights, we ask that you explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have been doing.

2. You may exercise your right to object to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of direct marketing or profiling, insofar as it is related to such direct marketing, without stating reasons.

You will incur no costs other than the standard transmission fees.

Consequences of the contradiction:

1. In the event of a justified objection to the processing of your personal data based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, we will examine the situation and cease processing the personal data and delete the personal data concerned, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.

2. If you object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing or profiling purposes, insofar as it is related to such direct marketing, we will immediately cease processing your personal data for such purposes and delete the personal data in question. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
