Accessibility Statement
Accessibility statement
Faber stands for modern fashion, inspiration, and a shopping experience that is accessible to everyone. We want all visitors to feel welcome on our website, regardless of their individual abilities or technical aids. That's why we continuously work to improve the digital accessibility of our offerings and make them barrier-free, intuitive, and convenient.
How the Faber-Fashion online shop works
Our online shop presents a wide range of fashion items that can be ordered and paid for directly through the website. Products can be selected by category, added to a shopping cart, and then ordered. Each product page contains essential information about item features, prices, and delivery options. Navigation is via a header and footer menu and is designed to be as clear and user-friendly as possible.
Legal requirements for accessibility
As a provider of e-commerce services, Faber is obligated to implement the legal requirements for digital accessibility. The design and technical implementation are based on the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), the associated ordinance (BFSGV), the European standard EN 301 549, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Our website follows the following principles:
Visibility: Content is clearly structured and usable with assistive technologies. Font sizes are adjustable, color contrasts meet requirements, and the layout is responsive.
Usability: The navigation is logically structured, and key functions are also accessible via keyboard. Focus guidance supports orientation, regardless of the input method.
Clarity: Controls are clearly labelled, the layout is consistent, and all feedback is provided in understandable language.
Robustness: The technical standards are adhered to, so that content can be used with different browsers, devices and assistive technologies such as screen readers.
Status of compliance with requirements
Our website partially meets the requirements of the German Federal Disability Equality Act (BFSG) and WCAG 2.2 at level AA. We strive to meet all requirements and continuously work to improve accessibility.
Non-accessible content
Despite all efforts, some areas are still not fully accessible:
- Some PDF documents are not fully accessible.[VF1]
- Not all interactive components can be operated without restrictions via keyboard.
- Alternative text for images and graphics is sometimes missing or insufficient
- Color contrasts do not meet the minimum requirements on all pages.
- Structures for screen readers and the use of ARIA attributes are continuously being optimized.
- Some forms and their labels are not yet optimally implemented.
- Zoom functionality is partially limited on mobile devices.
We are working to identify and remove these barriers as soon as possible.

This statement was prepared on June 21, 2025, based on an internal self-assessment. In addition, automated and manual testing procedures are used, the results of which are continuously incorporated into the development process.
